like-minded Aikidoka in Aikido solidarity without losing your autonomy, independence, structure or standards?
BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The U.S. Aikido Alliance is a coalition umbrella of like-minded Senior Aikido Instructors, Dojos and Organizations, across the United States who are committed to pursuing the best continuation and dissemination of both the premise and practice of Aikido and the wide-ranging benefits that its practice and principles have to offer to individuals, our communities, and our evolving society.
BRIEF OVERVIEW
Member organizations, dojos and significant senior instructors join together but retain their independence, autonomy, structure and standards —
Minimal structure / Consensus-based / Equal seats, Equal say.
INITIAL DECLARATION
To join together as Aikido friends in order to collaborate and solidify our strength and talents — both for cohesiveness and proper representation nationally and internationally, and to insure a healthier and fuller continued growth of Aikido in the United States.
To celebrate and strengthen the diversity and wide range of expressions and practices of Aikido in the United States.
TECHNICAL COMMITTEE
To advise and clarify technical criteria for consistent overall quality of technique and to oversee and submit proper and legitimate promotion advancements to Aikikai/Hombu.
GLOBAL FRIENDSHIP NETWORK
As this is a friendship organization, and many of our members have global connections, in order to enhance friendship activities we wholeheartedly accept friends and colleagues from abroad as associate members who are in sync with the spirit intended. Such acceptance would be granted with a two-thirds agreement among the current members.
